Beyond BASIC to Host Inaugural CommUNITY Appreciation Celebration and Building Acquisition Celebration

Come everyone to help celebrate!

Beyond BASIC, a cornerstone in our community, is delighted to announce its first annual CommUNITY Appreciation Celebration on Tuesday, January 23rd, 2024. The event will occur at Beyond BASIC's newly acquired home at 406 North Gum St, with a drop-in time from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Beyond BASIC extends its heartfelt gratitude to the incredible community that has been instrumental in its success. This celebration is a testament to the unwavering support and collaborative spirit that has allowed Beyond BASIC to thrive in our vibrant community.

Building Acquisition Celebration: A Place to Call Home

In addition to expressing gratitude, Beyond BASIC is thrilled to share the exciting news of officially acquiring its building at 406 North Gum St. This milestone represents a significant achievement for Beyond BASIC, providing a permanent and dedicated space to continue its mission within the community.

• Presentation: A brief presentation will commence at 6:00 pm, acknowledging special community members and sharing positive updates.

All members of the community are invited to join the festivities. Beyond BASIC will host a casual and welcoming evening, featuring a delightful grazing table, beverages, and an opportunity to meet the Beyond BASIC team.

You're invited to one of the most fun nights of the year! We hope you'll join us again for this beautiful evening, honoring you — our guests, families, and their caregivers! 

Mark your calendars and register for the Night to Shine Prom for guests with special needs who are over the age of 16 or the Luke 14 Banquet, for our guests under 16.

Guests at both events will be greeted on the red carpet!

Our guests at the Night to Shine Prom will be given a designated buddy, who will escort them into the event and assist the guest throughout the night. You'll be treated to heavy hor d'oeuvres and desserts, before experiencing a fun evening of dancing, karaoke, and being pampered in the hair and makeup room, before posing with a smile at the photobooth!

As Beyond BASIC continues to grow so does our need for weekly volunteers! We can not continue to do the work we do without our AMAZING volunteers. Our urgent needs are for Social Nights, Lunch Buddies, Pottery, Workout Buddy, Birthday Sponsor, and Community Outreach volunteers.
